Livestock Exhibitors please note:

Please note that Derbyshire County Show is now exempt from Pre-Movement testing, DEFRA states that no animals are allowed to be on the showground for more than 24 hours and that the sides of the marquees are to be removed.
To cover all aspects of this it has been decided that no animal is allowed on the ground until 6pm on the 22nd of June, the day before the show.

Please note the following alterations:-

"This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Both owner and the
rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered
with CHAPS (UK) to compete.
The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 29th-31st August 2013. Shows held on
or after date of Championship Show will count as 2014 qualifiers. Members to apply in writing
to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card.
The following classes are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers [Show Secretary to insert class numbers]. For
full rulings and information on competition/qualification, please refer to the CHAPS (UK)
Members’ Handbook; or visit www.chapsuk.com for rulings.
All stallions entering these classes must be graded or valid First Stage Approved with CHAPS
(UK). First stage approved stallions are NOT permitted to enter HOYS Qualifiers. All stallions
must wear Stallion ID Discs in the ring.

 

Please note the following amendment to the Blue Chip class:-

BLUE CHIP FLAT RIDDEN SPORT HORSE CLASS WORDING 2013 FOR QUALIFYING SHOWS

THE BLUE CHIP FLAT RIDDEN SPORT HORSE CLASS – the highest placed 4 year old, 5 year old and 6 year old and over to qualify for THE BLUE CHIP FLAT RIDDEN SPORT HORSE CHAMPIONSHIP to be held at the National Hunter Show 2013.  In the event that there are no 4 year olds or no 5 year olds, the top 3 horses, of any age and not already qualified, will qualify (qualification to pass down the line).  The 3 qualifiers will each receive a Blue Chip cap and qualifier rosette, with the following prizes awarded; 1st - £30 voucher, 2nd – 6th - £10 voucher.

CLASS 511 THE BSPS HERITAGE MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND OPEN WHP

Ponies 4 years old or over, exceeding 143cm.  Riders any age.  Horslyx Equifest Qualifier.  A Performance Rosette is offered by the Dales Pony Society for the best Registered Dales Pony.  Shown by an Exhibitor who produces a current membership card in the ring.   A Special Rosette will be awarded to the Highest Placed Fell Pony in Class 511 - Exhibitor Must be a Member of the Fell Pony Society and show their card in the ring.  Rosette to the Best Highland Pony - Affiliated to the Highland Pony Society.

 

CLASS 511A  THE BSPS HERITAGE MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND OPEN WHP

Ponies 4 years old or over, exceeding 133 but not exceeding 143 cms.  Riders any age.  Horslyx Equifest Qualifier.

 

CLASS 512 THE BSPS HERITAGE MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND OPEN WHP

Ponies 4 years old or over, exceeding 122 but not exceeding 133 cms.  Riders any age.  Horslyx Equifest Qualifier.

 

CLASS 513  THE BSPS HERITAGE MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND OPEN WHP

Ponies 4 years old or over, not exceeding 122.  Riders any age.  Horslyx Equifest Qualifier.

 

 

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE BY THE NATIONAL PONY SOCIETY

 

1.  Mobile Phones for Business is no longer sponsoring the Ladies Hunter Class.

2.   In the Cuddy Working Hunter Class it will be the first three which qualify not four.  And qualification won't pass below third.

3.   The date of HOYS this year is the 9th-13th October 2013

 

The Shetland Pony Judge for Derbyshire County Show is Mr D Gibson, The Arab Judge (non of which are Ridden) is Mrs CJ Evans and the Driving Judge is Mrs AHM Sixsmith - The Sidesaddle Judge is Miss L. Lane.
